SynBioBeta Delegation Visits Bota to Explore Physical AI-Powered Biomanufacturing
SynBioBeta, the premier innovation network for biological engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors recently brought a delegation of biotechnology companies, research institutions, and industry representatives from multiple countries and regions to Bota.

The visit focused on AI for Science, biomanufacturing innovation, and international collaboration, offering delegates a closer look at how artificial intelligence is moving beyond biological computation and molecular design into experimental execution, process optimization, and scalable manufacturing.
During the exchange, Bota Founder and CEO Dr. Cheryl Cui introduced the company’s approach to Physical AI-powered biomanufacturing. The Bota team also presented SAION AI and BPL—Biology Protocol Language—which connect AI-generated scientific designs with automated laboratory equipment, enabling an integrated workflow from biological design and experimental execution to process optimization and industrial scale-up.

The delegation toured Bota’s Cell2Cloud biofoundry and explored how AI-driven experimentation, laboratory automation, and industrialization capabilities support commercial applications across food, nutrition, personal care, agriculture, and chemicals.
As AI for Science advances, the industry is looking beyond whether AI can assist scientific discovery. The next challenge is whether AI can execute experiments, learn from physical-world data, optimize production processes, and translate scientific innovation into products that can be manufactured and delivered at scale.

The visit further strengthened Bota’s connections with the global synthetic biology community. Guided by our belief in the power of biology and the possibilities found in nature, we look forward to working with customers, research institutions, and industry partners worldwide to accelerate the translation of scientific discovery into scalable, real-world manufacturing.
