Enzyme Engineering Solutions
Bio-catalysis employs natural catalysts, such as protein enzymes, to facilitate chemical reactions. Bota Bio’s Rapid Iterative Enzyme Engineering replaces conventional chemical methods with a milder, safer, and more environmentally friendly approach. This transition enhances yields, reduces impurities, minimizes environmental pollution, and lowers production costs. Our versatile bio-catalysis technology enables the production of a wide range of biomolecules for industries including dairy, drug intermediates, food, nutrition, and agriculture. By leveraging biological processes, we provide sustainable and efficient solutions to meet diverse industry needs.
Rapid Iterative optimization of Enzyme Engineering
Bota Bio’s “Rapid Iterative Enzyme Engineering” replaces conventional chemical methods with a milder, safer, and greener approach. This transition boosts yields, reduces impurities, minimizes environmental pollution, and lowers production costs.
Challenges
The target product relies heavily on chemical synthesis and it has
chiral structure. This leads to various by-products, making purification
challenging and causing significant environmental pollution.

Our Solution
We developed a machine learning model by combining public protein
databases with our internal database to predict hot mutation sites.
Through iterative mutagenesis, including single-site-saturation and
multi-site-combination mutagenesis, and high throughput screening, we
successfully improved the target enzyme’s performance.
